SECRET E.A.C.I. BODY. We send herewith N.SCH. 2081. shewing, as far as we can, how a subframe body, made for a New PhantomCodename for PHANTOM I chassis, can be mounted on E.A.C.I. We are not able to complete the design of the special brackets which are called for owing to our not having any particulars of the position of the crossmember in front of the gear-box. It will therefore be necessary for you to set them out to suit the chassis. The Brackets can be made as sheet steel bendings with welded joints. We shall also have to leave you to investigate the clearance of the side lever mechanism as we have no particulars of its location. We have discussed the question of a body for this chassis with Mr Royce and he would like you to fit the Barker. "C" steering Cabriolet. (Enclosed). Long Chassis. As previously stated this body is panelled and could be completed in a few weeks. For this job we could perhaps manage without wanting a chassis. If you were supplied with a standard set of wings and valences no doubt you would be able to fit them up to suit the slightly different side members. Would you kindly let us know by wire whether you agree to this and we will push the job along. EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} | ||
