EFC {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} 4/T18.7.22.

X.607 - FAULTY EXIDE CELLS.

You have sent along to us 7 faulty Exide cells.

Would you kindly note that these should be sent to the Transport Dept. for examination previous to being returned to the makers. They will undertake the opening up.
All we are responsible for is the final examination to determine the responsibility. This we do in conjunction with an Exide representative, but over in their Dept.
Would you, therefore, kindly arrange for these to be transferred thereto.

With regard to the 3 cells sent over the other day from chassis 21 PE and 120 AE, as the number was so small, we are investigating these in our Dept. and will report from here, but we cannot accept quantities of such cells, in the Expl. Dept.
