Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Smth. C. to E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} C. to Dy.{F R Danby} ROY{Sir Henry Royce}/MS4/P.2.1.37. With regard to the Birmingham Aluminium Casting Co's quotation of 22nd ulto. for Gravity Die Castings - Bentley Bottom Half Crankcase EB.307, our factory cost is £3.10. 2d. each, as compared with Die Castings £3.18.0d. each, plus £230. 0. 0d. for Dies. In both cases the castings are made in RR.50 Alloy. Possibly we could consider the use of a standard alloy, such as Z.3. Roy.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
