V3725 V3809 Wd{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}1/NJ25.9.25. The Dunlop Rubber Co.Ltd. Dunlop Detachable Wire Wheels with Well-base Rims, fitted with Triple Block Tyres for test. In accordance with a requisition issued by Experimental Department, we have requested the Dunlop Co. to supply to us:- 14 Detachable Wire Wheels with Well-base Rims and wired-on Triple Block Tyres for 40/50 HP. chassis. 18 Spare Covers and Tubes 12 Detachable Wire Wheels with Well-base Rims and wired-on Triple Block Tyres for 20 HP. chassis. Prior to the issue of this requisition, the Dunlop Co. offered to supply to us one set of wheels and tyres for 40/50 HP. chassis and one set of wheels and tyres for 20 HP. chassis free of charge, but our requirements are more than double, but notwithstanding this we suggested to the Dunlop Co. that they should supply the whole of our requirements free of charge, seeing that the wheels and tyres are required exclusively for testing purposes. The Dunlop Co. made a counter proposal that they should supply all the wheels and tyres at half-price, thus dividing the cost with us 50-50%. As it is considered that the offer of the Dunlop Co. is a fair and reasonable one, it has been accepted. An order should be sent to the Dunlop Co. for the wheels and tyres and said order should state that the wheels must be fitted with the balancing device which has been adopted for all other wire wheels. When sending the order, reference should be made to our letter Wd{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}7/NJ24925, of 24th inst. Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead} | ||
