NO. OF ITEM. AND TITLE. CAN BE REPORTED TO AMERICA. MORE INFORMATION REQUIRED. WE SUGGEST. CAN BE DROPPED. 5. HAND PUMP. So far as we know this was not discussed with Mr. Royce, but the standardisation of a vacuum feed is proceeding on our own chassis, and this should automatically take place at the same time on the American chassis. The hand pump would then be discarded, and we are suggesting need not therefore be considered. 6. FRONT ENGINE GEAR & FAN BELT COVER. We do not know what this alteration is, and would like a blue print. 7. BRAKE STOPS. We do not understand this trouble as there are no definite brake stops that we know of, and our own instruction book says that the brakes should be adjusted until the brake ropes are taut. 8. WATER PUMP SPINDLE OF STAINLESS STEEL. Arising out of our own work Mr. Royce is proposing stainless steel spindles and bronze die pressings, or aluminium bronze die castings of open paddle wheel form for the rotor. Experiments on these lines are to be instructed and America may be informed accordingly. | ||
