X540 GRY{Shadwell Grylls} asked H/ STP c. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} E/JNR.{Charles L. Jenner}1/HP.12.5.36. re 25/30 HP. Radiator. Please receive herewith:- LeC.5112 showing the design of the radiator with a 58 m/m matrix, Mark '5' and fitted with unbalanced shutters of the wrapped over shape. This radiator is the standard thickness, as it will be remembered the appearance of the one made to LeC.4967 was not acceptable on account of its appearance. The bottom tank E.60928 is slightly modified by extending the lip forward .550 to carry the shutters. The radiator mounting brackets and the water outlet and inlets and calorstat are standard. The reason we wish to introduce this radiator is because it is lighter in weight, cheaper to manufacture, and has unbalanced shutters. E/JNR.{Charles L. Jenner} LeC.5112 herewith. N 22 | ||
