To Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} from R.{Sir Henry Royce} ORIGINAL c. to Hives. c. to HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to BA. c. to Sp.{Mr Spinney} Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} RECEIVED GOSHAWK. X4219/X4241 X4260 It has been agreed that we delay the produc-tion of parts that will be affected by the following modifications:- (1) The bonnet is to be raised 1" at the front end, giving a more level side elevation. The radia-tor will therefore be an 1" higher and an 1" narrower, the chief object being to make it look a different car, of different proportion to the 40/50. (2) The radius of the tank at the top of the rad-iator will be increased as much as is possible without making the junction between it and the bonnet ugly. The limit seems to be about ¼". The tank is to be deepened so as to carry more water and the fan is to be made approximately 18" and driven at a slower speed with a 5" pulley. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
