B.60.GA. - TRIALS CAR - MAIN BEARINGS.

With regard to the condition of the W/M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} main bearings out of the above car after 10,000 miles, the actual surface of the bearings appears to have stood up reasonably well with the exception of the centre main bearing and its adjoining inter bearing, which would not have lasted much longer.

One or two of the grooves have filled with metal in the inter bearings, thus shying the big ends of oil.

The front main bearing is exceptionally good and would appear to be capable of standing another 10,000 miles if necessary.

The general condition of them is nothing unusual and are more or less as we expected to find them.
