On the model of servo drive worm wheel recently brought here by Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}, we found that the weight came out at 2 lbs. 5 ozs. Mr. Royce thought this excessive; we are therefore asking you to please take a cut down each side face of .075" deep, and reduce the radial thickness of metal to .150 with a .150 radius in corner, thus :-

It was thought almost impossible to machine the annular recess commercially, and we consider it will be sufficiently good cored out, and would be glad if you will instruct experimental worm wheels embodying the modification suggested herein.
