Dear Mr. Daniell,

Thank you for the quotation
for the Rippletto axle, contained in your letter
of the 2nd. March.

We usually find it necessary
to add 70% to American quotations to allow for duty
and transportation charges.

Would you consider this to be
reasonable? Naturally, it makes the price delivered
to our Works less attractive.

If you make this axle over here,
are you in a position to give me a tentative quotation
for the price for which you expect to be able to
produce it?

Yours sincerely,
